The days before

LumApps is going fast. A permanent growth with new collaborators every month, continuous innovation, ever-evolving solutions... We are tightly focused on our development, moving forward at an unbridled pace.

But for one day, we decided to ditch our computer screens and take a deep breath of fresh air (which was easy, since our headquarters lie right between the city and the countryside). The whole team broke free from the office for a few hours to bond with colleagues and meet some new faces.

Inception

It was the LumApps founders who came up with the great idea of enjoying a day of golf. Even though only a few of us had ever heard of putter, wedge or tee.

At LumApps we build web apps that have strong links with Google Apps for Work. I personally come from the Apple world so I didn’t know much more about Google ecosystem. I only used Gmail and Calendar through the MacOS/iOS clients. I was a bit lost. It was last year, on June.

In the Apple world, the idea of a conscious and unified user experience has always been the main concern, navigating through multiple graphic streams (Skeuomorphism, Flat Design).

In the Google world, engineer is the king. Amazing features but many teams spread around the world involving sometimes a lack of graphic consistency.
