Our philosophy is to develop solutions that can take Google Apps for Work to the next stage. In this direction, we will soon use LumX, our own open source framework, for all the components of the UI (modals, selects, dropdown, inputs...).

LumDocs is an easy-to-use solution providing the ability for any non-IT users to create business applications on their own. In a few clicks, users can automate their processes or manage documents for specific departments or projects thanks to a simple configuration interface.

Best practices

At first, you may define 2 types of user, editors and experts:

• Editors don’t need training, they access to spaces for which they have permissions, and use it immediately as every web app well designed. They can consult or create documents, submit forms or fill requests, search data, etc.
• Experts must be driven by IT to begin. When they have understood LumDocs basics and got the few advice to organize their apps, they become autonomous to configure workspaces based on their process, approval flow and policy.

No development

When you create a new space in LumDocs, you don’t need to write any line of code: only settings. It becomes a breeze to integrate advanced features for your application, so that non-IT users can administrate platform. For example, it’s very simple to manage workflows: you add as many steps as your process requires and specify roles.

Tutorial bubbles

LumDocs offers people choice and control, and guides them toward the outcome they want. To help users craft their “mission”, we have integrated tutorial bubbles to explain basic features during the first session or to show new features. These quick tips are of course completed by a product documentation.
