Golf Session for LumApps Team

Golf Session for LumApps Team

The days before

LumApps is going fast. A permanent growth with new collaborators every month, continuous innovation, ever-evolving solutions... We are tightly focused on our development, moving forward at an unbridled pace.

But for one day, we decided to ditch our computer screens and take a deep breath of fresh air (which was easy, since our headquarters lie right between the city and the countryside). The whole team broke free from the office for a few hours to bond with colleagues and meet some new faces.

Inception

It was the LumApps founders who came up with the great idea of enjoying a day of golf. Even though only a few of us had ever heard of putter, wedge or tee... we all felt comfortable on the green. Golf Only was the perfect place for beginners. And no matter how much we failed, at least the sun was on our side!

We started the morning with a breakfast and a brainstorming session focused on who we are and where we want to go. We have strong ambitions and this moment has highlighted our strengths: youth, brilliant minds, energy and will power. We can be confident in the future because we enjoy our work and are aware to be part of an awesome adventure.

On the green

Then began the practice with three workshops: swing, approach and putting. Even though most of us are more at ease with a computer than with a golf club, it was hard to resist the playful and relaxed atmosphere!

It all ended with a competition: a single put to reach the goal. If not, the winner would have been the closest. We all tried, more or less. The last shot was for our CEO. He putted, the ball went straight forward, right to the hole... No doubt we are in good hands!

Back to work

After a quality local meal, we all went back to the office in a good mood; proud to be part of the team, highly motivated to bring LumApps forward.

We should do it more often, and we sure will. As a matter of fact, from the start, LumApps is a company with open-minded colleagues, who respect each other... and who are used to participate to extra-work activities: board games at lunch, badminton or swimming pool, and much more!
